Nokia Belle, the latest software for Nokia smartphone, is now available for existing compatible smartphones including Nokia C6-01, C7, E6, E7, X7, and N8.

It can be downloaded for free via PC using Nokia Suite or get a free download service at Nokia Care Center.

Significant improvements that enhancing the user experience include

All-new homescreen

Nokia Belle increases the number of home screens from three to six providing more room to display applications and services. Both orientations can have their own, most optimized, layout. Loads of multi sized, interactive widgets give flexibility to personalize user experiences. Adding widgets and individual shortcuts is much easier: just press, hold to select and add. You can also drag and drop widgets between pages as widgets will find the next free slot automatically.

Simplified interaction

The responsive touch screen and increased processing power of the new generation of Nokia smartphones all adds up to smoother web browsing, faster downloads, and easy multi-tasking.

Simplified NFC sharing (For Nokia C7 only)

The new software provides more intuitive NFC sharing, which is now integrated directly to application. Whether it's sharing single or multiple photos, sharing videos and music, pairing with other NFC enabled smartphones, or progressing to new levels in Angry Birds - you can do it all in just a tap.

Streamlined imaging experience

All imaging applications have more space for actual content, yet the most needed controls easily at hand. Applications cleared from unnecessary clutters. Image Gallery shows self-captured content only Improved capture experience comes with HD video recording at 30 frames per second and improved usability of on-screen capture key.

Improved HTML5 support

Nokia Belle software comes with visual improvements & new web services with HTML5. UI aligns with the rest of Nokia Belle style. The software comes with the new toolbar, visual history changed to 'quick' back & forward, and visually appealing 'most visited' view. HTML5 Audio/Video and Geo-location enable high quality YouTube videos & location-aware web services, like Flickr nearby photos.

New Nokia Maps

Applications are now split between Drive, Maps, Check-in, and Guides. Online navigation is based on live traffic. UI Maps are new and easy to use with a separate icon for downloading country maps and deletion of cached country map. The Weather app shows current weather and 5-day forecast. Other improvements include Search-a tab for favourites and predictive search on offline mode. One new improvement is 'Place pages' which comes in a new design with a new image gallery, plus user reviews, descriptions by business owners, leading guides and local content providers.
